Membership

The current brigade has 30 members. Apart from firefighting, which is the core activity of the brigade, members are involved in:

• Community Education

• Fundraising

• Secretarial

• Gardening

• Maintenance of equipment

There is a job for everybody regardless of talent or ability.

All members are trained to enable them to perform the required tasks. Firefighter training modules are accredited with CFA and Swinburne TAFE. The training modules are nationally accredited. Training is ongoing and upgraded regularly.

New members must complete a six month probationary period before attending fires but are registered with the brigade and participate in brigade activities. They also must complete "minimum skills" training.
