FIRE WISE GARDEN
Introduction.....
The Badger Creek Fire Brigade was formed after the 1939 fires which devastated the area. All members are volunteers. The Brigade protects valuable community assets such as the Healesville Sanctuary, the local primary school, kindergarten, child care centres, school camps, nursing home, tourist facilities and historical sites. Housing estates and rural properties, as well as part of Melbourne's water catchment area and Badger Weir Park, are within our area.
